HOW WE DO IT

We generate funds to accomplish our goals in two primary ways.  Our annual “Walk in the Woods-Spook Hike” occurs every October.  This event is staged on the North and South Islands with the cooperation and assistance of the Wilmington Park District staff.  Approximately 100 volunteers set up skits on  the South Island which are designed to entertain in a true Halloween tradition.

Our traveling concession stand can be seen at many local events.  We offer good food (and GREAT ice cream!) at family affordable prices.  

There is no administrative overhead in the Wilmington Lions.  Members are not paid. The payment we receive is satisfaction in participating in a special way in the community, and helping our neighbors.
